Sungai Buloh Decrepit Ward

Sungai Buloh Decrepit Ward One of the leprosariums in Malaya was a place called the Sungai Buloh Settlement. It is located in Selangor, about 15 miles from Kuala Lumpur and was a federal institution, taking in leprosy patients from the whole of the Malayan Union irrespective of nationality. With the exception of the European doctor in charge, a European matron and a Chinese sister who were non-leprosy patients, the rest of the staff were Asians and sufferers of leprosy themselves.
